I was looking at running EoN a while back (but decided against it with all my other commitments) and did a bit of digging.
It seems you can run several instances on the same machine, just install it again (e.g. in C:\Program Files\Eon2\) without the screensaver. You can probably run 2 per core.
Don't let anyone else know, or they'll all be at it, and you wouldn't want to get buried under an avalanche of EoNites, would you now.

Thanks, Al. I'll see what I can do when I get it sorted.
I can't seem to get it running on this computer - AMD dual core running Vista.
Lots of ZZZZs (nothing unusual), but it keep coming up with this message every so often - Unable to open AlCli.dll for writing.
I've just spotted another message too - bytes_received does not match with bytes_expected
Vista is a crazy thing!! I've tried the compatability thing to run with settings for XP but zilch, so I'll try changing it back and see if that makes a difference.
Failing that I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling the client.
My son doesn't want to put it on his computer because he reckons it will slow down his games. He seems to forget who paid for the darn thing.

Now, that one I do remember seeing.
When you first start the client, it looks for (and should find) Al110c.dll. It then renames it to AlCli.dll. (Don't ask me why, I didn't write the program.)
So if you look in your EoN folder, there should be just one .dll file. Simply rename it to what the log says it wants.
The other possible problem is that the .dll file just doesn't exist. If that's the case, PM me and I'll point you in the right direction (I know where to get it, but the site doesn't want loads of visitors, so I'm just respecting that wish.)

Easy fix:
1) format C:
2) Insert Windows XP install disk
*or*
2b) Insert Linux install disk of your choice.

Thank you, ohiomike.  That's what I would like to do but it's still under warranty so I don't want to do anything to void that just in case.
Al - I don't seem to be able to find that file. I'm still finding my way around Vista but this is what it says is in the eon folder -
XP is so much easier to use.  Vista is full of unnecessary crap!

Aha! I found a couple of posts here about halfway down the page referring to the same problem I'm having. The reply says that the file is downloaded with the first work download. I'll pause eon on the other two computers and see if that lets this one get a toe in the door, otherwise I'll get back to you in a pm.

Well, it seems that Michelle has decided to resist, heavily....... I guess she really doesn't want me to pass her.
I guess I will just have to be content with spanking her in the BOINC realm. With OVER 10x her total credit, I have no worries about her there.
Shame really, it would have been nice to make it clean sweep by her....

That's ok. You may have decided to add a number of PCs to the effort, but summer is comming there rather quickly and your summer last year was bad if I recall correctly. You will be shutting them down to cool off the house and I will gain again....

BTW, I'm no longer in the oven that is known as Charters Towers. It's much cooler here so summer shouldn't present too much of a problem.
