Are you on this page? http://stats.free-dc.org/statstool.php
There are people talking about that error in Free-DCs forums, so it's not just you two. Something is amiss, but the admin guy said to make sure you're using that tool (evidently there's another one on the site that's out of date).
Let me know if you still get that same error or if that's the page you're already using. _________________

Here's mine with all the projects i've ever been involved in.
For all these ones to show up, you have to input the number that comes up when you hover over your name on the Free-DC stats on that particular project. IE: For example for Rosetta
Alpha Fruit is: 84971
Myself is: 5429
JerWa is: 138454
John Mohr is: 63188
After you place all your numbers in that, you can pick the ones you wish to display by unchecking the tick box to the right of the number. Also make sure that you keep the very last box ticked for this forum. That is the create static image one. It updates every 30 mins. The name you use is the name you use to log into the Free-DC Forum. However I looked for Alpha_Fruit's and John's, but they aren't on the server. (alpha_fruit and John%20Mohr) |

I've been a member at the Free DC forums for a while now. I don't know why it didn't work. I even turned off my firewall. _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

I tried it again this morning. I was logged in (intentionally did it from a different machine). I used the above link to go to the page to enter the stuff.
I selected the team, I entered 1 project (to test) and hit update. The form posted back to itself and cleared all the fields EXCEPT the team selection. I tried it several more times with the same results. My guess is that they made an update and there is a problem with it.
Try to modify your sig there and see what happens, maybe the problem only occurs creating a new sig vs. updating an existing sig. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Must be a new sig problem that i'm not aware of, umm.. all i did was modify mine, as I only had 9 projects on that big list of mine. Just PM Bok on the Free-DC forum. _________________ When in doubt, kick it until it works. |

Yeah, it's worked fine for me this whole time. I DID modify mine as part of writing that first big email, and the changed applied fine. In the forum at Free-DC is one (at the bottom of the list) just for stats trouble. That's where I saw someone else talking about the exact error you were getting, but I haven't checked back yet to see if anything new had been added. _________________

I looked at the thread. Yesterday (Tues 1/24/07) Bok replied:
Quote: | don't use that one, it's not actually linked to anywhere....I don't update it so it's very out of date.
if you go to the stats pages then follow the link to statstool sends you here
Let me know if that one works.

He had a link that takes you to the same page we have been trying. I posted about the error we are getting on the page Bok suggested, so now we wait. _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

I wonder if it's just related to the user names. Both you and alpha have characters in your name that are not HTML friendly (underscore, which is %5F, and space, which is %20). Because both characters must be translated, I wonder if that's breaking the process somehow. _________________

Now all you have to do is change your sig to this:
Code: | |
Edit: And double check your ID's hehe. Have some 0 fields in there. _________________

Thanks for the help!!!!!
I corrected the WCG id (I put the id on the Worldcommunitygrid line instead of the BOINC WCG line on the stat page).
Any idea where I am supposed to put the pirates id#? I tried it (cut and paste) in the archived project section, but the team info didn't come up.

My name has the underscore in it. As for pirates... The team link on the Free DC stats pages is here.
However I don't see your name anywhere as of yet.. need more than 1 point for it to show up unless your not part of the team. It's not even on the boincstats page. I did find a project with your name that isn't attached to a team, and thats CPDN. _________________ When in doubt, kick it until it works. |

How do I go about getting listed on the team page or making sure I am part of the team?
Another question about the stat sig, if you look at the SETI line on the free-dc sig it shows 1 amount of credit, if you look at the othe sigs, my Seti credit is higher. Any ideas why?
Also, how do I get my SETi classic user ID to put into the Free DC sig? _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

Have to do that on the project page itself, not on Free-DC. For CPDN, go to their site: http://climateapps2.oucs.ox.ac.uk/cpdnboinc/home.php
Once you get in (and go to Your Account if necessary), under Community (on the right side) it should say Team. Sounds like you didn't/haven't joined KWSN for that project or someone else was using your name? Either way, it's not in your sig either hehe. _________________
