Not too much laughter, please, but this was the machine I first learnt to programme, back in the mid-60's. _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

Nah, the simple stuff - Algol60, not much more sophisticated than the early Basics (but long before them).
I did do a bit of Fortran on an IBM7094 (a real "Billion Dollar Brain" machine, whirling tape drives, 2 ft diameter changeable hard disks, punched cards - the real McCoy) and also machine code on a Elliott 420 flight computer ("liberated" from a Hawker Hunter), entered via a row of keyswitches one 39-bit word at a time!
Ah, thems was the days. _________________ Creationists believe they never evolved; I agree with them.

AIII!! STOP STOP STOP!!
This thread is for taunting of little fairys only, and not for bragging about old computer skillz which don't matter any more! You silly old farts, go back to debugging your computers with tweezers! _________________ 0.0 Giggly hertzes Folding!

I got confused a long way back....I was hoping that if I was quiet, it would all start to make sense....but as it happened I was just quiet and confused....
We've had a bit of sunshine today so the shrubberies are looking green |

You found me out....
But honestly I expected more of a fight from a pumpkin. I know for a fact pumkins never give up, but I guess October is long gone, perhaps your flesh is starting to squish and your insides are rotting? Pretty soon someone will pick you up and there hand will go straight into your insides.... then it will be straight to the green bin with you.... |

If a hand reaches inside all they will find is Michelle's spare brain. I am using hers since she sat on mine and bent it.
I may have to resurrect some of the pumpkin farm..

I must say I'm impressed with the neatness of the farm.
I particully like the ones on the right...... is that the diskless operation?

That WAS the Diskless operation on the right, before I fell behind on my electric bill. I used Suse Linux + LTSP, and followed This Guide to set it up. I had 6 (or was it seven?) diskless motherboards running, stacked up on threaded rods, and laying about the garage. My server is still running, so I could plug in a mobo or two in again just to trounce this darn blonde mosquito. _________________ 0.0 Giggly hertzes Folding!

You can't kick my behind because your little fairy legs are way too short. _________________ 0.0 Giggly hertzes Folding!
