Just send sir fart over to their forums to drop a few stink bombs in exchange for the credits they maneaged to nab from your shrubbers with their lil subterfuge in trying to bork our teams name
Actually seems a fair deal, they can keep the credits they got, but must buy the beans _________________

Only the good ones. The ones that other teams have are evil.

I am kind of interested in running this, any ideas how well it works when there is BOINC also running?
Double hit, what if I am running DDM (also a Java project) and SkyNet at the same time? |

There is a BOINC version.... Now credit wise, it was decent, though I've noticed WUs that take longer now to crunch, and the credit/hr seems a tad lower with those.... But you don't have to run it seperate from BOINC anymore if you attach through it.... _________________

So I figured I'd give it a try to run both BOINC (DDM) and SkyNet at the same time. It seems to be running well. DDM still running same speed, and already have 6 SkyNet credits.
I'm using the browser app. I haven't decided to try to download the stand alone app yet.
As for the BOINC credits, if I read it correctly they will not merge them with the regular SkyNet. So they will remain separated. Unsure how well that will go over. |

tbh, if it were me, I'd care more about the standard credits merging into the BOINC credits then.... But then I'm at the point I really wouldn't care to run stand alone stuff. Yeah, I'm a bit of a credit whore, and I don't like having to run a project by itself.... It's a big reason I won't run folding anymore, after all the politics that went down with that one, several years ago. Stanford lost themselves a cruncher with their decision...
But either way, when people are getting charity from the crunchers, they can't afford to get greedy, or act like they're entitled to have ALL of one's computer time, without being willing to share it with others. People are giving charity by running something at all, they aren't obligated, and like with rl charities that peeps open their wallet up to, it isn't like only one cause in the entire world is a good or worthwhile thing.... _________________
