I got bored and decided to join WhatPulse. WTH is WhatPulse? It's this silly app that tracks your clicks and typing activity. What's the point? There isn't one, it's just to be silly.
In the effort of assisting my fellow loonies in being silly and doing nothing (our vaunted quest), I have made a WhatPulse team! You can find it here.
So, if you're so inclined, sign up, download the app, and join the team. Oh, and if you l33tsig, you can even put your stats in it hehe.
PS: No, it isn't a key logger, hijacker, mad hax0r proggie, etc. Really. _________________

I tried installing this on my work computer.
10 minutes later, the company firewall came by my desk and smacked me up!
Must be a new feature on those Cisco boxes...
Now I don't even dare check my mail anymore. _________________

Firewalls that smack people up cost extra, I hear. Surely if your company can afford such luxuries they can afford to donate some hardware to our shrubbing rigs. _________________

I'm glad the firewall caught what sound like a key logger! I'm sure your network traffic went through the roof too! _________________ Fetch me the Holy Hand Grenade!

It's not a key logger, nor does it use much bandwidth. None, most of the time. It only uses any at all when it 'pulses' (updates) and it's less than 1 kb. That's part of why I know it's not a keylogger, it's not sending enough data back for it to be logs. Besides, there are hundreds of thousands of users now, and it's been around for years. I'm quite sure it's benign, if it wasn't, it would have been found out by now.
For instance, according to NetLimiter (a traffic shaping app I run), whatpulse has only sent 152 bytes all day. Network usage through the roof, pfft. Ye of little faith. _________________

So are you gonna join or are you too skairt? It's legit, I promise. Even Free-DC has WhatPulse support:
I even had Free-DC add the KWSN WhatPulse team to stats tracking lol. Come on, I need more people to join, I can't type millions of characters all by myself.
Maybe we could go taunt Team Crunchy or something. After we get like a 10 million key lead
PS: If you want to track 'miles' (how far you've moved your mouse) you need to use the beta WhatPulse client. Just FYI. _________________

oh dear! I am skairt - as i'm me own boss i'd soon find out how much time i'm a- wasting at work and then would have to ask meself to "seriously consider a new job". So i'd fire myself and as i know the state of our (i.e. my) accounts i'd know i caint git no severance pay... then on re-employing meself i'd have to start from the bottom and being just so little away from retirement an'all...no way!

Time you're wasting? Quite the opposite, since it's measuring how many keys you type and how much you click your mouse. A big score = you're working hard. _________________

I would say you're surfing pr0n a lot, but I don't think there's much typing then. If your score = 0 keys, 42,367 clicks and 47 miles moused... then maybe. _________________

w00, that's 3!
One thing I've noticed, if you use the 1.5 beta client, I don't think it automatically pulses... ever. You have to manually tell it when to update, or edit the preferences to tell it when to automatically do it. I set mine to automatically pulse every time it hits 10,000 keys hehe. _________________

I finally found our Team Founder in WhatPulse!
As for Team Founder, should good ol' JerWa switch it to one of us current Members?
And somehow we lost our Stats from Cohiba - What's up with that?
Anyway, we're alive! And in the top 100 to boot!
