Only WU's completed for that specific sub-project will count towards the challenge score. They start it at midnight UTC time or something like that. So it will be around 9am my time for me to start or so. They now have a countdown clock on the main PrimeGrid page. So you can see when it will start. No caching before it starts, WU's downloaded before the challenge time will not count towards the score.

Erm... don't know what's going on with those 321 LLR Prime Grid WU...
EXAMPLE of WU error
I just tried to crunch 1 WU on each of the computer that will be crunching in the tournament to see how it goes and after 1 second I get a computation error message... as I can see, most of the ppl got computetation error for the same tasks I've got computation error...
Did anyone else try to crunch any of those lately to see how it behaves? _________________ Anyone for Crunch?

Didn't try other Prime WU kinds as I care only about the ones for the challenge...
Can anyone of you will be so kind and try to load this type of WU and see if he's able to crunch it? I have only 1 computer crunching this WU for over 10 hours and it's the weakest computer of all the ones I've tried to crunch with... weird... _________________ Anyone for Crunch?

I'll try one when I get home, but I've done 321 in the past with no issues. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |

I don't know, yesterday, I d/l one WU for my computer and it started, now it worked for over 11 hours, when I got home today, about 7 hours ago, I tried to d/l 321 work to several machines and got the same error, I can see the same task was sent to other clients and was returned with the same result...
Just see if you're able to crunch one, at least to start... mine went computation error after 1 second of crunching... _________________ Anyone for Crunch?

OK, Sir Wabbit (et al), I'm in again...
I'll put a hold on my Laptop's other WUs and grab a half-dozen WUs for 321
After I see how these go, I can try and switch over a couple other Borged units too, before the Start Deadline that is...
Fingers crossed, sorta, kinda, almost, maybe...

According to the linky above the wu's will take between 7 & 12 hours.
I will only put the ones that are local on it, so 1- 9850, 1-5000 and the core 2 lappy for sure. I will see about some of the others. _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

Did you run the 321 Prime LLR wu? I'm trying to see what makes them fail in all of my boxes since they'll be the one I'll crunch for the challenge...
I'm getting the following error message in all of my tasks:

<core_client_version>6.4.5</core_client_version>

My frrst WU (of 6) has been running since 7PM last night, now 16 hours.
AMD Athlon 64 @ 3200, 768MB, WinXP SP3, Absolutely EVerything turned off!
Sigh...
Maybe my ol' H/P Laptop will not help the Team much...
I'll plug in what results I can for a week, then back to business as usual...
Sigh... _________________

Looks like the problem is solved!
I'm amazed... the problem was:

One thing comes to my mind though - maybe you have set your "Write to disk at most every" setting to 0? I think it might not be well-handled.
|
Changing the "write to disk at most ever" set from 0 to 1 seem to solve this issue! Thanks anyway guys! _________________ Anyone for Crunch?

That's still hard on the old hard drive. I can't think of any reasons to have that set to less than 60. _________________ Some days are worse than others. |
