Here's the problem, I got my upstairs mo-chine back from my computer guy today and I need a new hard drive, I'm not concerned about anything on that hard drive except my folding.
Would someone please tell me what I can do and please spell it out for a dorky, short minded great grandma who has senior moments that are getting closer together that I thought.
Will I loose all my credits on that mo-chine? I know I will have to download the FAH client again on the new hard drive, I guess what I need is guidence. I know there are some here who can help a dummy.
It sucks as this mo-chine is only about 2-3 years old, the downstairs mo-chine is about 15 or so years old and that hard drive is great. Who'd a thunk it.
Thanks for any help you can give. _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

Just download and re-install F@H (for instructions go to www.katrinashome.com)... you'll lose whatever shrub you were working on but you won't lose anything that was already submitted for credit. _________________ Sir Latch of the Highlands

True. tried it myself last week.
The local installation will start counting at zero again, but any credit submitted is stored centrally with F@H. Once installed, you download a fresh WU and start crunching again.

Thanks, this is exactly what I thought, I just needed you smarter than me to tell me so. _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

only credit you'll lose would be if you were almost completed with a shrubbery or what every shrubbery you were working on. But since you weren't done with it you wouldn't have gotten credit yet anyways.. _________________ Smoke-em if you got-em I do.. |
