Bad news, Michelle Crying or Very sad .

I've hit a bottleneck with my provider.
The broadband internet account i've got provides 1.5 Gb upload a month. With Boinc seti and Dimes running, i'm consuming some 90 % of that space (at about 50 to 70 Mb upload a day). With Eon running as well, this goes up to 100 to 150 Mb of upload a day. That pushed me over the limit of the upload (even thoug i've got plenty of download left).

The reaction of the provider is to slow down the internet connection to a crawl (about 56 kbit left), combined with a serious delay in the connections (approximately 30 seconds of delay before connections are made). They call it narrowband #Mad . This phenomenon has hit both eon and dimes productions that fell to zero because of timeout problems. I can see from the stats that the rest of the world is up, so it's a local problem.

Dimes combined with Boinc Seti runs fine so, once i get my connection speed back (should be tomorrow or the day after), i'll confine my effort to those two Cool .

That's ok BmfCb. Keep up the good work!

I too will be shutting down EON later on this evening. EON is still plagued by the same problems they had months ago: Too many zzz's. Crying or Very sad

It leaves a lot of cycles for FAH, which you can have in the background. Wink

Are we giving up catching those pesky AMD users again?

I'll go for the lushious top 50 position before I quit! Cool

Just looking at their production, and they're going to be pretty hard to knock back down a rung now.

And Sir Spud has gone down 1 spot. *sigh*

BmfCb, you look like you've been doing pretty well despite the 'narrowband'.
#ni-1 I'm on dialup so mine only works when I'm actually online. I do leave it on sometimes, while I go off and do other things but it does tie up the phone line, and the ISP usually disconnects it anyway.
