If I install BOINC on my computer at work, whiel having it disconecte form the network.
Should I expect that there is a message shot back to the IT sentient that a program was added to a workstation??
Thing is that he don't seem to swift, and apart from, my PC telling me that new stuff id being added, would he not have to have a routine of some sort running a sweep of the network, to discover my illicit activities??
Inquisitorily yours,

Depends on how good he is. Being the IT nazi i am you would have already been discovered and the boinc client would have been placed in my name Oh i also don't even allow users to install apps muhahaha. _________________ Smoke-em if you got-em I do.. |

Thnig is that he is a hired hand ("consultant"), we changed supplier earlier this year, and I would imagine because this one is cheaper than the previous.
Most times there is a correlation between price and quality, and the 3 different niggling problems I have at my workstation, are these 6 months later completely unattended to, and the last three new employees were greetd by a PC, but zero form of access to the network, having jumbled through getting them on the network it took from 7 to 22 days before they got an e-mail set up correctly.
So odd's are that he will not be considered "smart". I have actually downloaded BOINC, and will Borg tomorrow. before we went BOINC I had a Classic accounts running for the most part of 2 years, in the USA while living in Denmark, so it is not as if I have not borged before.
All IT nazi's should borg for the cause, Sir Newt used to have about 400 shrubbers dedicated under SETI Classic, in my most powerfull days I had 4.
The thing is that if it works, as in IT sentient not noticing, I will borg another 2 - 3 komputers. This should enable my production to increase to a level where the stats's will not continue to ignore me.

NI!
Sofar, so good.
Installed BOINC on 3 different komputers, IT sentient is toiling away at the other end of the stables, and nay a peep from it.
Methinks that I can install on as many komputers here as I would want to. Now I need to only borg those, that are not endowved with to much curiosity inregard to new little icons on their task bar.
Under SETI classic, there used to be a toll, which would make a borg, completely hidden to all but those who looked very specifi places for it.
Does such a tool exist for BOINC??

If anyone notices, let them know it's a spy tool just making sure they are not looking at porn when they should be working, and if they should try to mess with it they will be fired. _________________ Don't fuss about growing older, many are denied the chance. |

15 km north of Copenhagen. They always hire if the right person is available.
Do you have certified talent in either of these areas:
1) Cooking
2) International forwarding and transportation
3) Sales of perishables in producer to distributor relationships.
Actually only the sales department that have been told by one of the owners that he don't care if we surf for porn, as long as the budgets and targets set by him are met, and met latest by the deadline set by him. If we can squeeze porn surfing in there to, we are very welcome.
