Greets one and all,

Just having a quick browse through this forum and spotted the overclockix posting. Don't know if anyone is interested, but I've got something similar to this for diskless systems too - mine boots from a CD and then runs entirely from a ramdisk on a very very very cut down OpenBSD system - currently it can be made to run seti@home, distributed.net or e0n - and at some point any other DC projects I can get OpenBSD to run under Linux emulation.

the URL is http://www.mwjr.talktalk.net/

hope some of you find it as useful for crunching as I do.

Then go with FreeBSD - it's in the ports tree.

Tried boinc on it, but OpenBSD reports -0Mb of memory when running the Linux boinc binary - so it never gets a WU for lack of memory - shame that.
