Compare these pictures Cool .

See the similarity ? Both are piccies of funny-looking, revolting, hideous, abnormally squished things Razz . As far as improving Sir Spuddly Buddly's face, I think an acid dip followed by fifty hard whacks with a metal baseball bat would be a good start Twisted Evil .

But how can I fix my Electron Microscope 3 display Sad ? It appears that the text from one line overwrites the other Mad . I miss viewing my Folding shrubbery in all its glory Crying or Very sad .

My video card thingy is a 128 MB Radeon 9600XT and is set to 1152 x 864 resolution, 32 bit true color and has the latest drivers. I'm running the latest version of EM 3 and Winblows 2000 SP4. Changing the video settings to other resolutions, colors etc. doesn't fix it. It's been like this for over a year Sad. Except for this, my display is otherwise normal.

I've checked the flame-retarding space-shutttle tiles covering my pc and they seem ok, and there's a new methane filter, so that's not it Embarassed . I've had my eyes checked so don't tell me it's normal-looking cuz I won't fall for that one Mad .

Bashing my head makes it temporarily look better but doesn't offer a permanent fix.

Deep down, I know this is somehow Mildew's fault Mad , but I'd like to get it fixed. I'll deal with him later Twisted Evil .

Any ideas on what I should do with my computer ?

Shocked Shocked Shocked

Let me re-phrase that, any ideas on what settings I should change Confused . I'll contact the program's author if no one has any ideas here.

Sir Fart

Technically, a MORON

Dear Sir Fart,

Sorry to hear about your display troubles. Are you sure you have been using the proper tools to adjust your video settings? I get consistantly reliable results with these:

The small one is for fine-tuning of course, once you have whacked all the large pieces first. Smile

Any chance of setting up the same software on a different system (or a different monitor) to see if does the same thing? That might give you more information to go to the author with too.

Thanks for the tools, at the very least they'll come in handy for fixing Sir Spuddly's face, and for mashing the life out of the rodentia running around Fart castle Twisted Evil .

The short answer to your query is.....no Sad

I will try the EM3 S/W on my Dell PC at work to see what it "looks"like. My Dell system does have Winblows 2000 SP4 S/W, but that is where the similarity ends.

My home system (the one I'm having the problem on) is a dual AMD 2800 CPU with the aforementioned video card etc etc. The work Dell system is a 1.8 GHX P4 with on-board video. The only thing common is the O/S AND both systems use a Dell Monitor Sad . I don't think it's the monitor though.

I'm using EM3 v3.09 but without the protein pics. My vid card is an ATI Radeon 9200SE and my res is 1024x768. I'm not having any problems with it.

AMD64, 3200+

I didn't know you could turn off the protein pics display Confused ? I thought you could only switch between low res and hi res piccies ?

Anyhoo, I'll look into when I get home.

Thanks Cool .

Sir Fartster, have you tried it with the different "Client Views"? Try 1 client, 2,3,etc to see if there's any improvement.

I've had the same trouble, if it's any consolation.

No not THAT trouble! My face looks fine.

I meant the squishy letters thingus.

What size system fonts do you use?
Right click desktop->properties
Settings tab->advanced button->font size
I bet it's big.

Here is as close as I can find to a solution:

Just for kicks have you tried adjusting your resolution to a different setting (800x600 or 1024x768) and seeing if the problem went away? If that doesn't work then jibberish is probably right with his thought about large fonts... perhaps the methane you release is naturally filling the letters and making them larger? Confused
