I was wondering what kind of free OS's would be good to use on an AMD64 3200+. I'm trying to find ways of not having to reinstall Gates ME when i swap the HD over to the new system. I have partitioned the HD and copied over the keepables, but i'm not sure if it will keep the "new" partition when i have to reformat C: Any ideas or suggestions? _________________ When in doubt, kick it until it works. |

If you give it enought time you could probably succeed with one of the linux products out there. They are still a little techie-ish..... I did find the product pretty cool.
You should be able to download a installation/self booting cd rom from here.

I've gotta put in a plug for FreeBSD. It's fast, stable, and has great docs. _________________ KWSN Forum Admin

Overclockix is setup to start folding@home upon install, but it includes scripts for other DC as well.
Of course, if you don't change anything, it folds for it's author.

Didn't you say it was running ME? If this is true then the previous statement is obviously false as ME stands for "Major Error"! |

I thought it stood for "Might Explode." _________________ KWSN Forum Admin

Windows CE, Windows ME, Windows NT.
Put it all together, you get Windows CEMENT.
