I miss this group a lot, especially the way it was years ago, when we were a closer knit family. Now it is like all the children grew up and we are empty nesters. You get the occasional message, but there regular banter has fairly gone by the wayside.
I guess I miss some of my old life, in general. Being older now, with the health issues I am facing, and the lack of having the groups of friends and acquaintances I used to be with makes life a little lonelier.
The good part is I am still exploring new things, my love of having multicultural foods and again being able to do a little traveling to new destinations, does keep things somewhat interesting. Just not as many people to chat with about it.
I am happy to see the forums back, and hope they stick around for a while.

I'm still here. Celebrated my 53rd birthday Tuesday after an accidental OD Monday landed me in the hospital for 8 hours. Went to a Wierd Al concert last night.
What an amazing birthday week

This is one of the few times I will miss his show (since seeing him first in the summer of 1983). Alas age related issues keep me from going alone and no one is willing to go with me this time.
Fun facts: I have been backstage a lot. I even had a one to one with him back in 1998 at a Weird Al convention in Chicago. The #27 at the end of my handle is a tribute to him.

I can't believe that you mentioned your profile pic when it isn't even here. 
Probably because I was hosting it in my Photobucket that I haven't had for years. I might still have it saved in a folder on the old hard drive
