I don't have any ideas on why it won't give you work? Perhaps clear out all other GPU WUs?

I'm getting some test apps for CPU that use all cores and claim about 5 quintillion calculations to complete. Shocked Looks like first one will need about 4 hours.

GPU grid has some funky settings.

Make sure you have 'Use NVIDIA GPU'
AND
'Use Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) if available' checked.

Make sure there is not a cat inside your computer case.

What card are you using? Maybe it thinks your card is too french and is taunting you.

What OS are you using? Certain linux distros recent nvidia driver updates have been having issues reporting cuda 6 making gpugrid think your box is useless for anything but minecraft.

You could also try a witchdoctor about purging evil code from your box.

This is beyond my control. I have 3 cats! Shocked

Win7 Home Premium & Gigabyte GTX570.

I need to install Minecraft? Idea

Probably the stupid driver, won't update, install, uninstall, re-install, or parallel park. Time to reformat and re-install the whole OS. Mad

The latest driver. Try to install it directly. If it's really obstinate you may need to use safe mode to get rid of the old one.

I also have 3 cats! They tend to stay out of the cases though - they think they are keyboards.

Other than the driver and the settings from earlier there's no reason it shouldn't be working for you. Sacrifice a bucket of KFC to it when doing the driver. Just in case.

I had downloaded the driver, installation fails. Uninstalling through the control panel fails.
I used Wise Program Uninstaller, apparently successful(?), but display still works at 1920x1080 resolution and PG sieve still runs on GPU.
Ran installer again, still fails.
I think I need to upgrade the older cats.

Try suspending boinc and anything else using the graphics card. Run msconfig from the start button. Make sure a normal boot is selected. Reboot. Re-attempt install with the clean install option before starting anything else.

Reading around it appears some people have had issues updating the drivers. Supposedly this was fixed in the new version. If this doesn't get you to the island you may have to resort to your plan B and do a full re-install. Do you have much on there you'd have to redo?

And keep the older cats. The newer ones will drive you mad (more so)

Thanks, I'll try that when the cats finish playing Farmland. (They only ever plant catnip.)

Yes, the young one does drive me crazy, he pulled a shade out of the front window this morning. Twisted Evil

The whole shade? Mine pull parts of the blinds apart so they can stick their heads through the hole. I leave them open spots and they smash a different one, so it's their own I guess. Hard to clean too, a pile of anything my calico takes as my setting up something fun for her to scatter!
