I forgot to mention the back up project, since it was the losing half of the tie-breaker: SAT.

If you have stuck downloads, abort them, then you will get new work. I had several stuck for hours overnight, now I am back working again. Hopefully they have fixed whatever was causing these filename errors.

I aborted downloads with a '?' in the filename on one shrubber but now when I update POGS it says 'Not reporting or requesting tasks'. #Mad I have it shrubbing Malaria@ until it decides to cooperate again.

The other Win7 shrubber was stuck, I aborted a task and it downloaded new WUs.

The Ubuntu shrubbers don't seem to have been affected.

Shutting down BOINC and starting it again worked for me (Win7 SP1 64b, 7.0.64) #ni-2

It's getting tasks again but it also grabbed a bunch of SAT. I forgot I resumed SAT when it had no work.

Detailed paper describing how theskynet POGS BOINC project works.
"A BOINC based, citizen-science project for pixel Spectral Energy Distribution fitting ofresolved galaxies in multi-wavelength surveys."
http://arxiv.org/pdf/1306.1618.pdf

Good info to have when your Bro-in-law 'axes', "Wot's Nu?"
Much easier to send him the link than trying to explain it to the halfwit.

Has this been down for a few hours for everyone else? I cannot get to the POGS site, but I can get to the SkyNet site. I see no messages there showing any issues, but I have stuck uploads and downloads and am running my backup project since I cannot get work.

Everyone that is doing this project, please go review your dashboard and see if this project has given you negative credits at any point. I had it happen on 22-DEC between 00:00UTC and 04:00UTC. I have brought it up privately to the admins there as I do not want a riot on the boards to happen, but I feel that the team should know it has happened to at least one of us and that it should be checked across the board to see if something bad has happened on their site that caused more people to lose credits.

During that 4 hour period of time I lost just under 3270 credits. The graph is hard to granulate much more than that, but it still is a lost of credits and very unacceptable to me. You can go to the last 24 hours, then use the slide bar on the bottom to expand a little more, that's how I found the dip.

yes that is very weird... I show a dip of around 1,200 credits on my "dashboard" graph also on that day
This drop in points for me was exactly 1,169.67 and occurred between 00:00 and 06:00 UTC on Sunday Dec 22nd.
I had my android phone with 4 cores and my home computer with a 4 core CPU on the POGS for the days before that, that day, and the day just after.
My BOINCstats chart shows that day to be a few thousand less than the day before or the day after for me.... so I don't think it's just a glitch in the "Dashboard" graph.
I'll drop a note to Kevin as well.
Embarassed
*EDIT: the really odd thing is, only 6 hours later and the "negative blip" is 320 points less and the graph has stretched the time to 13:00
will this iron out over time?? where did the points come from that got added to the 22nd while I slept?? is this all happening in a galaxy far, far away and long ago?? Rolling Eyes
**Edit 2: and now another 5 hour later... the negative blip has turned into a positive curve and elongated to 13 hours.
I'm not quite sure what to make of it all. I don't understand why a graph showing a credit build would have any type of negative, even if it averaged out later as the graph mechanics changed. ???

I can't see a dip but there's a 24hr. hole in the chart.
