Reportable primes will be any server other than the SGS or the PPSE. Mainly because the SGS and PPSE are filling in the missing holes.

In terms of what server will pay off more I always thought it was fairly even.

PRS and FPS would be reportable as well. For primes that is if you ever find one.

I did update the client to 5.0.2. It seems the work is for 64-bit client so I am a no go though I did update everything.

OK, let me better example the issue I see that different projects are paying better than others.

Last 24 hours I did (4 cores running 4 different projects on same machine):
121 - 4 units, approximately 71500 credits
GFN65535 - 12 units. approximately 21000 credits
Mega - 5 units, approximately 51000 credits
SR5 - 10 units, approximately 24000 credits

121 I may do approximately 3.5 units a day so that's actually around 62500 day. So currently that is paying the best.

I was wondering if anyone figured out what actually does pay best? I can do a GFN524288 in about 46 hours, so for 2 days I get approximately 67500 credits.

Seems 65535 and SR5 are really low, Mega, 121 and 524288 are pretty good. I would like to know how well others have noticed the other projects and where I could get the best bang for my buck. I might just set them all to 121 for now.

Well it should be a combination of the size of the number. So the bigger the number you crunch the bigger the score. When we first started the scores were quite low since all the numbers were small.

Second it also depends how close to a prime it is, or if it is a prime. If it is a prime it is worth more.

You should also try the FPS and PRS servers as well to see how those work for you.

ESP if I remember had a good score rating per WU.

I love smart kids because they are so interesting to chat with. If you where bored at school and your son is like you, then maybe as a suggestion you should consider looking for a specialist school which will play to those strengths and keep him interested.

I already have my bronze PSA badge. At this rate (one quad core), I should have ruby by September or before. If I add in one of my I7's I could have it a lot quicker.

Been running SGS the past couple days now and have gained up to 11,289 SGS credits and a total of 125,847 credits for active PRPNet credits. A grand grand total of 199,884 PrpNet credits when adding in the ancient PPSE port. So I have hit over 8,000 credits in PG and 7,000 PSA credits and counting

Bring on more SGS units! Maybe I will finally hit a prime. Congrats on your bronze hardware there Pooh

I have over 3 million PSA credits and that translates into about 400K BOINC credit.

So last night I added another box to PSA. 2 of my boxes are doing PSA while the other two are doing the CPU/GPU PotM.

If I calculate how quickly I am gather credit and it holds true 18 PSA per 1 PrimeGrid credit I am already in Silver and well on my way to a Ruby in about 30 weeks. If I add other boxes to this I could potentially get it in just around the beginning of May? On my Quad I am able to do over 1M a week. I already have over 4M in just around 3 weeks on the 1 box.

After a couple of days of playing, 121 seems to be one of the better pay projects. I had calculated out a few things and I can get over 800K on 121 in a day with 12 processors whereas Mega I'd get about 725K and ESP I'd get 675K, etc. So there are advantage projects it seems.

So if I get 800K a day and I am over 7M now it will take me just under 3 months to get to 72M which hopefully will give me ruby. I'll probably take it over 80M to be sure.

So I asked this question a couple of days ago over at the forums and no one seems to answer.

LLR tasks of the same type, some go through "hits" and some go through "iterations". The ones that do iterations seem to go through an extra step.

Can someone explain why the two different style computations and why it chooses which one?

Got my answer finally.

Simply:
Basic Algorithms :

- The base two numbers (with k<2^n) are the fastest to test :
k*2^n+1 numbers are tested using the Proth algorithm.
k*2^n-1 numbers are tested using the Lucas-Lehmer-Riesel algorithm.
