Please keep an eye on your machine to check whether the problem is already solved with the new BOINC version and let me know what is happening.

Michael.

What I can see in 2 of your inconclusive results.

http://www.rnaworld.de/rnaworld/workunit.php?wuid=5221250
Your uploaded zip file has errors:
bad CRC be068679 (should be 4fc0286c)
And in the results are also differences with your wingman:
Code:
diff -r 2/cms_GA-p[BR-Lin64f]_Bacillus-cereus-AH820_CP001283.lin.EMBL_RF00199_SL2_1306858323_11151_0 3/cms_GA-p[BR-Lin64f]_Bacillus-cereus-AH820_CP001283.lin.EMBL_RF00199_SL2_1306858323_11151_0

Unzip leads to
bad CRC 09cb3d06 (should be c7e5d408)
And also differences in the data
Code:

So the validator detects it and an additional result is generated and send to some user. If this returns it is compared with the 2 already existing results and this doesn't match with your result so it becomes invalid.

The real question is why does it do it sometimes and not other times? I will run a few more and see what happens...

These WU's can run for an awful long time after reaching 100%. These hit 100% at 61, 69, and ~87 hrs.

Finished at ~114hrs.:

With some of the WUs this is completely normal behaviour and no indication at all for malfunction. So just keep them running. It has to do with the algorithm used in the app that has stochastic elements which make exact runtime predictions difficult if not impossible.

it seems to be a little bit unclear for users about xxl and s and what they do/we mean.
so we have modified the apps-name to:

cmsearch XXL (large) 1.0.2
cmsearch S (small) 1.0.2

and we hope it΄s now easy to understand what we mean with xxl and s Wink
is it better ?! any suggestion ?

by the way... great output of KWSN ! thx !

Norman

(sorry for the double post)

All 3 machines that had been giving me problems are OK now....maybe they just needed a reboot....

My i5 threw a few blue screens with the message "memory_management". Confused
Then every WU errored out at ~1min. (all small WU's).

I pulled it from service while I investigate, it has my GTX570 in it, too. #Mad
I put the Q9950 on the line.

I tried my i5 again, even turning the speed down, it still produces computation errors and blue screens. I ran through the RNA cache and switched to other projects. It's working flawlessly again so far, back at 4.09GHz. Confused

Is anyone else having trouble getting WU's? I'm getting WU's for Linux but just a trickle for Windows, not enough for all cores. Confused
