Negative degrees Kelvin represent temperatures hotter than infinity according to an article I read in Scientific American. Confused

Well, if infinity is self transcending, then we could always go beyond the infinity of yesterday #ni-1

Well, in any case primaboinca is now back up. Though boincstats has taken it's place in the graveyard of crashed servers Very Happy

Infinity Upside Down?

KWSN is in 5th place!
About 10 days to pass the UK!
500K crunched yesterday!

Milestones:
The Knights Who Say Ni! passed 7,500,000
Al Dente passed 1,500,000
ohiomike passes 700,000
Sir Papa Smurph passed 550,000
DoW passes 350,000
DoW passed 300,000
Blurf passes 250,000
Nuadormrac passed 70,000
Sir Forth of Erebourne passed 70,000
SpineyNorman passed 30,000
LanDroid passed 25,000
Queezy passes 25,000
Wabbit98 passed 10,000
PhastPhred passed 9,000

Beating the next few teams will be a bit of a challenge unless there's some hidden reserve of crunching power:

http://boincstats.com/stats/team_stats.php?pr=primaboinca&st=0

Quote:
0 0 0 1 SETI.USA 35,521,392 546,200 5,089,800 26,861,400 808,583 -
2 0 0 2 SETI.Germany 33,461,242 353,800 4,723,000 29,468,000 883,469 -
0 0 0 3 Sicituradastra. 23,159,519 715,600 4,834,800 18,645,600 670,713 -
4 0 0 4 UK BOINC Team 9,686,903 351,000 1,867,400 7,607,800 252,213 -
21 5 1 5 The Knights Who Say Ni! 7,748,552 474,000 3,217,000 7,437,400 333,731 24

Now, looking at the UK BOINC team, it estimates 24 days to pass them, and all the teams above have higher RAC then us, some like Sichturadastra and SETI.USA by a lot.

Sometime today, my Primaboinca WU's went from taking 90 minutes to run to 150 minutes. Has anyone else noticed this or should I look at my desktop for problems?

Looks like the completion times are a 1/2 hour longer. I used to be able to complete one in 58 minutes, now it's 90 minutes.

Mine went from about 1 hr 50 mins to 2.5 hours aprox... I think they dumped longer WUs on us, perhaps in an attempt to lower the credit returns some #ni-1

As a note, since Friday all the Linux WU I have gotten have been failing with a "file write" error. If you are running Linux, you might want to check your machines (I don't know if it is Linux in general, or just Arch Linux).

Now that you mention it, my one linux box running Lubuntu had a lot of errors on WUs sent on May 7th and earlier in the day on May 8th. Everything before and since have been fine.

All my Windows boxen have been running without errors. Granted, a couple have been pulled over to PG for the challenge.

Their server is most unhappy atm, wanting more drive space, or something...

Course, spilling coffee on the servers, after tripping over the network cables could have a disasterous effect #ni-1 People used to joke about that a fair bit in Warcraft, when they couldn't get on to raid Laughing Speaking of which, boincstats is down again, this time they don't even show up on the Internet at all... If they have new servers, go figure what's going on.

Well least we can turn in the WUs, though we can't track our progress against others atm Surprised

Edit: never mind, that outage was temporary...

seems to be running just fine, I've reported a chunk of WU's over the past several hours. Also switched my sig to all project stats cause they don't seem to be having any issues at this point
