I'm still trying to get through one SOB which I'm not gonna give up on since it's at about 85%. I was hoping to free up that core before the challenge, but hopefully it will be available before the challenge is done.

In any event, we're still doing pretty good. Keep up the fine work everybody!

So does running 75% 3 out of 4 cores crunch more/faster or do 3 run WU's faster but about the same daily production as 4?

What is the answer oh wise man!

I've found this to be true of most electronic devices. When I worked at the computer repair shop, I would tell people they let the factory installed smoke out and it would have to be returned to the factory to get more smoke.

In my case, I don't know... I've heard that running multiple llrs on the same machine will slow you down a bit. But with me it's just a matter of 4 llrs with freehal, wuprop (or wuproj - still haven't figured that out), dnetc all on an OCed platform that I also use for everyday stuff equals crash. Doing only 75% helps.

The SOB is on my dual core, and again if I were to add another llr to the mix, I'm afraid of losing over 400 hours of shrubbing on that sob of an SOB! So until that ends, I'll just keep plugging away. Then, I'll bring the heat of two cores of Athlon X2 fury!!! That'll put us over the top for sure!

this might be my last PG race. I have a quad that has wu's with 14 hour time up to 100 hours. that sucks for a race that doesn't last much more than the 100 hours.

Don't worry Musketeer!
Other PG projects does not race with such intense projects so there's still hope for another race for you #ni-1

I'm with Musketeer 2. The long challenges really irritate me. The run times are all over the place and the machine doesn't seem to have anything to do with it.

I like the PSP Seive work. At least there is a benefit to running a 64 bit OS. Well, after a 24 hour late start I'm begining to show some progress! I'm up to 168 as of this post. So far it looks like we are solidly in 5th.

I had four go 27 hours while an T5750 and my Athlon 7850 crank them out in under 20 and sometimes down around 15. It just doesn't make any sense at all.

I have found that sometimes a WU will error out, but it won't stop the app that was processing it. Exit the BM (File -> Exit), and start the Task Manager (Control - Alt - Delete) and see if there are any 321LLR tasks running...

Oh, and if you are running MW or DNETC or GPUGrid or Collatz, or anything on the GPUs, the 321s will take longer...

Update time, we are still 5th, though not a solid one. We could move up to 4th easily, but also Ukraine is making a strong push from the 6th spot.

4 Sicituradastra. 13997123.85
5 The Knights Who Say Ni! 13145012.57
6 Ukraine 11156971.22
7 BOINC@Poland 10731931.68

Ni

Also after two challenges we are currently ranked 14th overall, maybe a good showing here will get us close to 10th overall.

I'll check the task manager to see if that's happening. I shut down all other Boinc apps to run the challenge, so that's not it.
