I did a batch of 321 llr and everything ran smoothly. Although, I only run 3 out of 4 cores on my main box so I can get other stuff done. I ran into the 'overloading' problem before when trying to do all 4 cores as llr (PPS challenge I think). Ever since then, I try not to do too many llr at once. I run this machine OCed and with a GPU project and with FreeHAL, so 75% CPU cores works for me. Sieves don't seem get as intense, but definitely benefit from 64 bit.
As far as the SOB, I knew going in it would be a monster. But as long as it finishes before the challenge, I'll be happy. That one I got running on my 4200+ which is just a boincer now and I can 'set-it and forget-it'.

Not to worry Phred, I've come to realize that it's not the quality of your system(s), but the quality of the people you surround yourself with. And you guys are just plain fun to be around. _________________

@ Stooper101: Them SoB's are mean-nasty.
They took me about 11.5 days of CPU time on a 2.4GHz C2Q, but 1 was enough to get me the SoB bronze badge.
Validation, however, is a tad... uhh... lengthy. I got one SoB WU on Feb. 1st, returned it on Feb. 17th, and am still waiting on it to validate... |

Hmm.. Well, at least I got a bronze badge in it, I doubt I could get a silver before the now ~86k WU queue is exhausted.
I suppose that the PS/3 gets to go out in a blaze of glory. The first (and only) AP26 was found on a PS/3 running linux. And since Sony has decided to kill the 'other OS' feature on ALL PS/3's sold (ever) in their latest firmware update, that kinda kills the PS/3 as a computing platform. I kinda feel sorry for the various universities and Government agencies that have invested in large numbers of PS/3s as a 'poor man's' supercomputing platform.

I will not be participating in the Challenge at the end of this month, still doing PrimeGrid for my badges. It is just that the 321LLR doesn't really to seem to work all that well for me, though I can handle the much longer CUll and WOO WUs much better,

Sorry for the Bump down a peg in team stats everyone.. well, not really! I kind of like it when that happens
I have joined the Knights for the challenge, along with a couple other Musketeers that will be following along shortly as soon as they find the handle to the bathroom door.
AKA Musketeer 6
I am doing some SOB as well and those SOB's are long little buggers!! _________________ Most Milestone Stats
