Okay, so I'm a space geek and have been religiously watching NASA TV (except for last night when the season finale of LOST was on, but I digress) and it's really interesting to see video of the HST after being up there for 19 years and a couple of repair missions. Some of it looks like a few of my home repair/science projects, parts seemingly pieced together hastily, some wires not "tied" together, a few missing screws. Next time someone critiques my not-so-pretty, but functional projects, I'm going to reply, "If it's good enough for the Hubble Space Telescope, it's good enough for me!"

Call yourself a proper space geek!!! I'm sure they were all FOUND again (and maybe got LOST once more just to eak out another series) - wouldn't know though, never watched it, never likely to either.

I thought it was rather amusing on a previous repair mission when they upgraded the CPU's to i386's - now that's real power.

Anybody at NASA ever fess up to the FIRST Hubble 'Repair Job'?
The 'Replacement Lens' issue?
What was REALLY going on was apparently bad bolts,
marked as Hard-type, but Sub-Standard!!
Or so I gleaned... from a friend of a pal with a buddy who
said his Chum heard it!
