It happens, I have three sets that will finish in an hour or two, none of them found any factors. The set that finished yesterday though did so hopefully we'll see at least a small point increase.

Guide looks good. Yes I know it's a pain to set up, but once it's set up then your laughing.

Ohiomike the pages you got are..

1. SOB Sieve
2. PSP Sieve
3. PSP LLR/PRP

And with srsieve if it does find factors it will put them in a file called factorsxx with xx being the start of your range that your sieving. It's also possible that the factors you find have already been found, so those won't score you any points.

As for scoring, with SOB it's a small number until the LLR catches up, then big points are possible, whereas with PSP it's a fixed number, last i recall 12000 per factor. (back when i had a scoring one)

The Gods of Sieving must be on my side...

Now I only hope this factor wasn't found yet so we'll be awarded for it... #ni-1

If you reserved a range you should be good. You may find another one, I've noticed all but one of my finds have come in pairs, one PSP factor and one SoB. The last PSP factor I submitted was worth over 47k points! Oh yeah!

Always submit all factors to both projects.
The submit page runs a validation of all factors, and you won't get credit for "wrong" factors, but you can't screw anything up by submitting wrong factors to the projects.

Okay, I've submitted my only factor in both pages... hopefully I'll see in one of the stats page that the factor was acknowledged... #ni-1

After I reserve a range at: http://www.sierpinskisieve.com and I finish scanning this range, I don't need to submit the factors in the same site right? do I need to do something with the ranges I've reserved? or just leaving them reserved? Rolling Eyes

You need to log in again and mark the range as complete.

Nice! I just finished three with no luck, but I have two factors found so far for the six that are running!

3 mini ranges of 100G gave me only 1 factor.

I must say that this is the most looney project ever in the history of crunching... but... since it will help us advance in the vault rank, I put 3 more cpus working for it, which makes 4 cpus work on this project, hopefully we'll get some serious results soon! #ni-1

sweet. I have 4 factors found so far for the 6 instances (4 x 1000G and 2 x 200G) I have running. Hopefully I'll be even luckier as it progresses! We need to hit the PRP project too, will have to play with it.

The only factor I've found was a PRP one...
if everything will go as plan, I'll have 2 more cpus to add for this project in the next few days #ni-1

Yeah, the higher up we go, the chance of finding factors goes down. Back when i first started doing this... way back a couple years ago now... you'd get at least 10+ factors per 100G range, but now with 10 times the size of range, you're lucky to find 3. Confused

I've submitted a SOB factor over 24 hours ago and I think I see my range in the list but without any factors found Confused

Since I've reserved this range, what could be the reason I didn't get credit for the factor? or perhaps the factor's just still under examination?

Are you sure it was SoB and not PRP? The few SoB factors I've found it took a while before I got credited for them.
