I just have to show what the S@H optimized app did for me. The RAC has doubled on this computer!! (Q6600 with OC to 3.0 Ghz, running 64-bit Vista). I guess it's both the utilized processor instructions and the 64-bit optimization that is behind this huge increase!

Everyone should use this optimized app...

Download CPUZ from the web. Run it and on the first page that shows up look for "Instructions" MMX, SSE,....etc. Then go download the latest client that supports your instructions. #ni-1

Very Nice. Only 3 days on one computer and 1 day on the other and my RAC is up 40%. WU takes less than half the time it used to.

I just want to let everyone know that the surgery went well. They removed my brain without any trouble.

The only side effect is that I am haveing trouble trying to install the latest optimized Seti app.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Need to know what OS you're using.
Make sure you shut down BOINC before doing this.
Make a backup of your BOINC folder before proceeding.
If XP extract the files to :
Program files/BOINC/Projects/setiathome.berkley.edu
OK to overwrite exixting.
I don't remember off hand how I did it for my Vista machine but I don't think it was very much different. Read the message boards or ask over at SETI #ni-1

I am running XP sp3 on all 3 PCs.

I am not sure if/ what version of SSE my pc support. How can I tell so I know which version to install?

Thanks Papa. I found out what each PC can run and grabbed the correct version for each.

No I just have to wait for all the Poem WUs to stop running high priority to get to the SETI WUs I have.

On all my QUAD's Ihave put this new V5 optimized AP app.
Works like a charm, a WU, on my fastests host , takes 10 hours, to crunch 4 off them.
