Host names will work locally, and is easier than dealing with IP addresses. You can also use host names remotely, but that requires DNS and some sort of dynamic updater, which is a lot of work.
If you go to Network Places, you should see all your computers by their respective names. That's the name you'd put in BoincView. You'd have to put the two config files on each machine first, but it's not hard.

Well, I will think about it this weekend. I currently just use LogMeIn on all my machines that way I can access the whole comp for maintenance and repairs. I am slightly concerned about security but there have been no problems yet..............
I would like the summary that Boinc View offers though. _________________ a.k.a. Licentious of Borg.........Resistance Really is Futile.......

I love BoincView. It's very handy to keep an eye on things, and if you participate in any part-time projects like SIMAP (that only has work at the beginning of each month) you're only a few clicks away from starting it on every machine and then suspending it again after the work is gone. _________________
