18 in fact on my pc. I also got a bunch on the laptop and a bunch on my work PC before I left for the day too......
Any ideas why? Could these be he ghost WUs from the (nearly) month long outage they had?

Correct, SETI turned on the feature to check if the ghost units were real or not, and if not to resend them (as posted by Eric in the Technical News forum).
Lots of people (myself included) going into an EDF mode. I hope I don't boff any Einstein units. SETI I will not care if some Boff.

I got so many results (from ghost units), my machines are massively over committed, and will not make some deadlines if left to the normal way BOINC crunches, so it goes into an EDF mode, and gets those done first, and then calms back down.
This mode ended already on mine, but it may kick in again in the next day or so, because some of the deadlines might get missed.

Ah, that explains why I found 1 instance when I hv 4 threads on a core 2 machine last week. It switched to EDF while leaving the other two suspended WU threads in memory ... hv to manually restart BOINC to clear those. ish ... |
